The long historic past and archeological sites prove that the area of Gradiska has a very rich cultural tradition. People lived and worked here way back in the prehistoric times. Each further social epoch left an indelible trace in the cultural heritage of this area.

Even nowadays the cultural life in the Municipality is very dynamic and versatile. The main venue of the cultural events is "Veljko Cubrilovic" Hall of Culture which, in cooperation with other subjects in the field of culture, successfully implements various cultural programs and events.

The Hall of Culture offers adequate conditions for operations of the People's Library "Jovan Ducic" that has more than 30,000 titles of classical and professional literature. Within the Hall of Culture there operates Women's Town Chorus that has crowned its many years: of work with several high awards, "Kolovit" Cultural and Performing Society, and Amateur Youth Theater "Anastazija". In the building of the Hall of Culture there are the seats of other subjects of activities, such as: People's University, Pen Club, Association of Artists, and Serbian societies "Prosvjeta", "Sokolsko drustvo"(a sports society), "Dobrotvor" (i.e. benefactor), and "Kolo Srpskih sestara" (a women's humanitarian organization).

In the territory of the Municipality the Serbian Orthodox Church is organized in ten parochies, in which there are 12 churches and ten chapels built. The largest is the Temple of the Shroud of St. Virgin Mary in Gradiska whose construction started in 1965 and lasted until 1973 when the Temple was dedicated. The oldest church, St. Nicola's Church, built 400 years ago, is in Romanovci village. In 1904. the renowned Serbian author and people's tribune Petar Kocic was wed in it.
