Owing to the natural resources, great sacrifices, and day-and-night work in the past decades, there has been achieved a particularly successful economic growth and development. The economic basis has been constantly improved by construction of new economic and infrastructural facilities, increased production, and exports to foreign markets.

Small artisan workshops have grown into modern factories, and owing to the resources of large forest heritage of Kozara and Prosare (Mounts), and fertile arable lands of Lijevce Polje and Potkozarje, processing facilities have been built for the furniture, wood processing, agriculture, and foodstuffs industries.
